Project Overview

Client: Family residing in a villa

Location: Manikonda, Hyderabad

Building Specifications: G+2 floors

Elevator Capacity: 6 passengers

Challenge

The project presented a unique challenge due to Vaastu considerations, which, as advised by astrology, prohibited digging a lift pit for a conventional elevator. This restriction required a creative solution to incorporate an elevator without compromising the home's architectural and spiritual requirements.

Solution

Elevator Type: Hydraulic home lift

Design Features:

  • Cabin: Stainless Steel (S.S.)

  • Glass: Big Vision Glass Stainless Steel Frame (S.S.)

  • Installation Method: Mounted on a metal structure between the stairwell

  • Pit Requirement: No digging, Conventional elevator: 5 ft; Gaur Elevator: 300 mm (less than 1 ft)

  • Our solution: No pit below floor, Enter elevator with small step

Implementation

We Gaur Elevators proposed a hydraulic lift, an ideal choice given the constraints. Hydraulic elevators do not require a deep pit, which perfectly suited the client's Vaastu needs. Our team installed the elegant stainless steel and glass elevator with minimal impact on the villa’s interior.

The lift was seamlessly integrated into the stairwell space, utilizing a metal structure to support its operation. This approach ensured that the installation was both functional and aesthetically pleasing, blending harmoniously with the villa’s design.

Outcome

The hydraulic home lift was successfully installed with a small step, providing easy access across the villa’s three floors. The choice of materials and the innovative installation method resulted in a beautiful, efficient, and compliant solution, meeting both the client's practical needs and spiritual preferences.

This project highlights our ability to adapt and provide tailored solutions, ensuring that even unique constraints can be overcome with the right approach.
